Administrative Assistant II/Executive Officer in the President’s Office (Ref.: 524219)
We are looking for an Administrative Assistant II/Executive Officer (AAII/EO) who will provide administrative support for the academic development function of the University.
The Role
The appointee, reporting to the Vice-President and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic Development) (“VP (AD)”), will provide a full spectrum of administrative, analytical and secretarial support to the VP (AD) and Senior Advisor in the President’s Office. He/She will perform technical/specialized work requiring in-depth understanding and techniques, as well as administrative and analytical work requiring basic understanding of the academic disciplines, organizational policies and established procedures. He/She will also assist in the day-to-day management of the VP (AD)’s office, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Qualities
A good Bachelor’s degree and preferably a Master’s degree; Not less than 5 years’ experience in administration/information management, overseas study or work experience is a plus; Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese (including Putonghua); Possesses specialized/professional skills and attributes to perform specialized duties, such as IT proficiency in MS Office and database management; Meticulous attention to details, good analytical and problem-solving skills; The ability to multi-task and work independently without close supervision; Good organizational skills and strong interpersonal skills, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to work under pressure; A self-starter with a positive attitude; and A good team player who can collaborate with different internal and external stakeholders of the University. What We Offer
The appointment will be made on a fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.
